Commercial pilot certification course required part 141, the following ratings:
(a) Airplane single-engine. & (b) Airplane multiengine.
A person must hold the following prior to enrolling in the flight portion of the commercial pilot:
At least a private pilot certificate.
Each approved course must include at least 35 hours of ground training on the aeronautical knowledge areas, appropriate to the aircraft category and class rating for which the course applies.
Each approved course must include at least 120 hours of flight training, , appropriate to the aircraft category and class rating for which the course applies.
Each approved course must include at least 10 hours of Solo flight training, each student must demonstrate satisfactory proficiency prior to receiving an endorsement to operate an aircraft in solo flight. which includes at least:
(I) One cross-country flight of not less than 300 nautical miles total distance, with landings at a minimum of three points, one of which is a straight-line distance of at least 250 nautical miles from the original departure point ,and
(II) 5 hours in night VFR conditions with 10 takeoffs and 10 landings (with each landing involving a flight in the traffic pattern) at an airport with an operating control tower.
Each student enrolled in a commercial pilot course must satisfactorily accomplish the stage checks and end-of-course tests, in accordance with the school's approved training course.
